Percy Hinze passed away peacefully at Hastings Centennial Manor on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the age of 87 following a lengthy illness. Percy Hinze, beloved husband of the late Shirley (Reynolds), loving father of Sherry (& Don) Yateman of Bancroft and Kim (& Karen) Hinze of Roslin, loving grandfather of Justin (& Crystal), Krystin (& Greg) and Brittany (& Shaun) and great grandfather to his six great grandchildren. Percy is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Fern (& Garry) Baragar of Mississauga and Gloria (& Bill) Neuman of Peterborough and by his sister & brother in law, Linda (& Doug) Reynolds of Peterborough. Percy was born in Bancroft and following his marriage to Shirley resided in Birds Creek for 58 years. He was employed with the Ministry of Transportation for 36 years as one of the district maintenance supervisors. He will be remembered for his love of sports, hunting and fishing and enjoying summers at the family cottage on Kaminiskeg Lake.
