Pearl Gallagher
(nee O’Rourke)
May 19, 1931- January 13, 2023
With deep sorrow her family announces the passing of Pearl on Friday January 13, 2023 at the Smooth Rock Falls Hospital at the age of 91. She will be sadly missed by her children, the late Patsy (Lionel) Leonard, Daniel (Carol) Gallagher, the late Leonard Gallagher, the late Kevin (Louise) Gallagher and Deirdra (Gerry) Jacques.
She was the beloved grandmother of Laurie-Ann (Kevin), Kevin (Susan), Nancy (Karl), Chrissy (Mike), Sarah (James), Paula, Dean, Simon (Stéfanie), Shawn, Kayla (Eric) and great-grandmother of Kassie (Justin), Hope, Ivy, Grant, Clark, Gabrielle, Adele, Taylor, Ava, Leah, Julie, Jesse, Micheal, Jesse, Jao, Maxime and Hudson.
She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Pearl will be fondly remembered for her big heart of gold, quick wit, great sense of humour and her love of her family and friends. Pearl could always be found cooking up a storm in the kitchen, dabbling in arts and crafts, and tap dancing circles around everyone well into her 90’s. She was so full of love and being in her presence made everyone feel a sense of home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael Jr., her parents Joseph and Catherine (nee Mallais) O’Rourke and all of her siblings Leonard O’Rourke, Joe O’Rourke, Elizabeth Bednarz, Betty-Ann Marchand and a great-great-grandson Jay Robert.
As per Pearl’s wishes, family and friends are welcome at Génier Gauthier Funeral Home, 70 Seventh Ave South, Cochrane, on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1 pm to 3 pm. **PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK**
Pearl will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Smooth Rock Falls cemetery in Spring 2023 .
