Obituary
Passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family, Paula Marie Pearcey.
Predeceased by her mother Gertrude, father Alphonsus, sister Barbara and brother Ray.
Left with fond and loving memories are her husband and soulmate of 38 years Albert «Butch» and her daughter Krista (Kyle Croucher) who was her pride and joy. Her sister Mary (Gerry Anstey) and brother Kevin (Joan), brothers-in-law John Byrne, Bill Pearcey (Joanne), Mike (Marie), Chris (Ann), Lenny, Steve (Allison), sisters-In-law Cathy (Mike), and Edith Christmas. As well as her many nieces and nephews, her closest friends Dean, Arlene Critch and our friends of the CVFR Avalon Unit who were like her second family.
She was a devoted, kind, and loving wife and mother. Paula had three loves in her life; her husband, her daughter, and of course her beautiful flower garden. She couldn’t wait for the spring to come to go and pick out her annual flowers. She loved her games of bingo with her daughter on Saturday nights (although they jokingly complained through the whole game). She cherished being able to go to BBQs, coffee nights, and bike rides with her CVFR family and missed them immensely when her health declined.
We would like to thank the wonderful staff at the cancer clinic, the staff at the palliative paramedic care program (Lori G., Stephanie, and Dr. Joshua Bragg) as well as the community paramedicine team (Les, Scott, Ashley, and Frank) who went above and beyond to make Paula so comfortable at home with her family in the last few months. We will be forever thankful for allowing her final wishes to come true and for the endless family support that they provided.
She will be forever loved and missed by all that knew her.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation to take place at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd, on Sunday, December 28 from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place in Caul’s Chapel on Monday, December 30 at 1:30 p.m. with inurnment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations can be made in Paula’s memory to the Daffodil Place.
