Samis, Paul
Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, on Monday, February 12, 2024 at the age of 81 years.
Beloved husband of Mary Elizabeth (Topham) for 52 years. Proud and loving father of David and Stephanie, Mark and Lori, and John. Adoring Poppa to Joshua and Nathaniel, and Malcolm and Jensen. Will be missed by his brother Reg and Liz, and their family.
Predeceased by his parents Jack and Christina Samis, and brother Wayne.
Paul was a traditional, straightforward and honest man. He worked the majority of his life in the agricultural industry, and was known to be hard-working and dedicated to his professional duties. Paul was a devoted Christian who valued biblical principles, and enjoyed attending church and the fellowship of the church community. He also enjoyed reading, history, and music, and loved walking and spending time in nature. Above all else Paul held a deep commitment and love for his family, and cherished spending time with them. He will be dearly missed.
A private funeral service will be held, followed by cremation and spring interment in Elmira Union Cemetery.
Memorial donations in memory of Paul to KW Humane Society, Creekside Church, or Trees for Woolwich would be appreciated, and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
