Paul Lalonde Obituary
Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at his home on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the age of 65 years. Paul was the beloved husband to his soul mate, and forever love Annette (nee Godin) Lalonde. He will be forever missed by his children Lisa Laprade, Michelle Georgiev (Michael), Jenna Irwin, Adam Lalonde (Tammy), Ben Lalonde (Jamie) and Diana Reed (Randy). Paul was the cherished grandfather to Kailynn, Brooke, Laikyn, Brinley, Lauryn, Lukas, Damon, Leah, Christian, Jillian, Chloe, Hailie, and Owen. He is survived by his sisters Lise Jordan (Walter), and Francine Malcolm. He is predeceased by his parents Richard Lalonde and Yvette (nee Desgroselliers) Lalonde.
Paul lived life to the fullest, with kindness and generosity inspiring everyone he met. Growing up in North Bay, Ontario, Paul established lifelong relationships, both with friends and in business. Paul was our rock, our strength, our wise voice of reason. He gave the warmest hugs, told the worst ‘Dad’ jokes and was the best dog-father to Jasper. Paul loved travelling the world with his wife, boating on Georgian Bay, winters in Florida, sunsets on the lake, but mostly, doing it all with his family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mike Leckie, Dr Nick Roscoe, Dr. Kumar and Dr. Ana Konvalinka at TG Transplant clinic for their care and support in his final days. As per Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Friday, June 14, 2024, between the hours of 2:00pm and 4:00pm. If desired, donations can be made to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation-Dialysis Unit, Diabetes Canada, and the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
