Paul James LeBlanc
1952-2024
Paul James LeBlanc – A loving Husband, beloved
Father and Grandfather passed away on Sunday, July 28th, 2024, at the
age of 73, in the Valley Regional Hospital surrounded by family. Born
in Kentville, Paul was the son of the late Edward and Kathleen
(Graves) LeBlanc.
Paul was a man who valued a hard day’s work. After his
retirement as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Paul put his valued hard
work into his beautiful property, where he grew various fruits and
vegetables in his garden and raised many farm animals. Over the years,
Paul enjoyed working in his garden and raising his animals with
various family members, to whom he passed on his significant knowledge
of farming and life wisdom. Paul’s saying that resonated
most with his family, was that «working hard never hurt anybody,
and that if anything it gave you more respect and gratitude for what
you had.»
Above all, what Paul valued most was his family; it was the
times when he was surrounded by family that he was happiest. Paul
always held onto his titles of «father» and
«grandfather» with immense pride. Both of Paul’s
children, and all his grandchildren believe that they would not be who
they are today if it had not been for the influence he had on their
lives, and for that they thank him and are eternally grateful.
Alongside his children and grandchildren, Paul’s
«partner in crime» of 49 years, his wife Barb, always held a
special place in his heart. He and Barb were an incredible team and
made the best grandparents anyone could have had. Paul was also an
avid Bingo player who over the years accumulated a large «Bingo
family» who he admired.
Paul is survived by his wife, Barb LeBlanc, Cambridge;
daughter, Tammy (John) Kendrick, Cambridge; son, Joey (Holly Munroe)
LeBlanc, New Minas; His five grandchildren, Alyssah, Jenna, David,
Jordan, and Brooklyn; two brothers, Gordon (Ethel) LeBlanc, Cambridge;
Terry LeBlanc, Lakewood Road; two sisters, Linda Marriott,
Centreville; Eva Tibert, Cambridge; two sisters in law, Betty LeBlanc,
New Minas; Wanda LeBlanc, Digby; Paul is also survived by many nieces,
nephews, and cousins. Paul was predeceased by two sisters, Juanita
Johnson, and Nellie LeBlanc in infancy; three brothers, Timothy,
Edward, and Gerald; and lastly, Kathleen’s loving companion,
Robert Maskell.
