Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing our of beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend. Paul Gerard Lawlor age 61 years.
Predeceased by his parents: Mike and Mary Lawlor; siblings: Josephine McCarthy and Frank and Albert Lawlor.
Leaving with cherished memories his devoted daughter Kandice Lawlor and her mother Kathy Barbour; daughter Asiina Saila; sons: Jutai and Jeff Qimirpik and Albert Lawlor and their mother Martha Lawlor; grandson: Solomon Qimirpik; loving “big” sister Michelle (George) Peddle; Beloved nephews Michael, Mark and Matthew Peddle, Tony, Gerard and Nicholas McCarthy and nieces: Andera Lawlor -Monies and Genevieve Lawlor – Curry; lifelong friends: Dean Brazil, “Rookie” Kevin Piercey and Mike Twerdin. As well as extended family and a large circle of friends.
We will always remember Paul for his kind heart, he always put others before him, he would give you anything. Paul was social, loved people, and laughter. He always had a good time where ever he was. He loved to go sit by a pond and trout, the outdoors brought him true peace. Paul spent 25 years up north on Baffin Island where he had a business and many great friends. We will hold our memories of Paul in our hearts.
At Pauls’ request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 2:00 -4:00 pm and 7:00 -9:00 pm. A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm From Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel. The service will be livestreamed, to attend virtually, please follow the link provided on the main page of Barrett’s Website.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Paul’s memory to The Canadian Mental Health Association.
