Paul Godfrey Obituary
Paul, our dearest son, brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 2, 2024. In his grand and adventurous life his larger than life spirt, generous heart and helping hands have touched so many. We are left utterly saddened with the loss of his presence.
Paul is predeceased by his parents Helen Godfrey (nee Long) and Kenneth Godfrey. He is survived by his treasured children Christina Hartley (Mark) and Ryan Godfrey (Jenn), his cherished grandchildren Ezmay Hartley, Felix Hartley and Jackson Godfrey, beloved sisters and brothers Brenda (Roger), Dave (Judy), Steven, Michelle, Mike, Sherri, Joel (Shelly). He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family of friends who were forever warmed by his large heart and helpful nature.
There is nothing that Paul could not do. Whether it was a tire that needed changed, a gadget that needed fixing, a leak that needed plugging, a bath tub that need lifting, and dance that needed dancing, a ski or roller-skating partner that needed company, a fast car that needed driving, an ear to listen, an opinion that needed giving, a bear hug or hearty hand shake waiting, Paul was always right there. Ready to drop everything and help with the biggest smile on his face. Our dearest Paul lived life to the absolute fullest, every single day.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Highland Park Cemetery, followed by a celebration of Paul’s life from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. In the Highland Park Reception Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, with eulogies beginning at 2:00 P.M.
As Paul supported so many young people throughout his life, we ask that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Golden Family Center or the Revelstoke Aquaducks (via e-transfer to aquaduckstreasurer@gmail.com – please note «in memory of Paul Godfrey»).
