Beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson and friend Patrick Robert Buchanan passed away May 22, 2023 in Chilliwack BC.
He was born in Fort MacMurray Alberta on October 21, 1977. He lived and grew up there with many friends and lots of family. He was nicknamed BUKES and was a memorable soul who had a heart of gold. He moved to Chilliwack shortly after having a house fire destroy his home and all his belongings-his hope to start over there with his sister. He was a stupendous fun uncle and a source of strength for her.
Of course, he made friends wherever he went and whom ever was so lucky to he made an impact on their lives. Most will remember his love for the band Bad Religion, his favorite hockey team the Oilers and his talent for whipping up something delicious for you to eat.
It is a tragedy that this wonderful human being struggled within himself and with so much pain in his heart. The only comfort we can know at this time is that he is no longer in pain and that he is now surrounded by loved one’s past. He is survived by his parents Dorothy(Larry), Ken(Daesha), grandmother Marge, sisters Dawn and Jacki(Chelsea and Chase) and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Patrick’s life will be announced at a later date.
