It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patrick Francis Flood announce his passing on March 6, 2023, at the Health Science Centre, Winnipeg, MB at the age of 74.
Patrick is predeceased by his wife, Florence Flood; Parents, Patrick & Bridget Flood; Son Brent Flood, Nephew Christopher Porter.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are, his daughter Stacey Flood(Guy), his Partner Cora Hartigan, daughter in law Lorie Flood and grandchildren Logan and Madison. A large number of siblings: brothers, Paul (Mary) Flood of, Nfld. , Jim (Della) Flood of Nfld., Desmond (Brenda) Flood of BC, Kenneth (Trudy) Flood of Alberta; sisters, Karen Mercier of Nfld. Cheryl (Allan)Porter of Manitoba, Glenda (Donald)Young of Nfld., Elaine (Robert)Gilbert from Nfld., & Janet (Kevin) Peyton of Nfld. extended family Ed(Khris) Hartigan children Chloe and Cassidy. Maria (Craig) Bertnzen children Lily and Carter and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Pat left Nfld in the mid 70’s with his wife Florence and their son Brent to start a new chapter of their lives. Then three years later a daughter Stacey arrived. Pat spent all his adult life in Thompson Manitoba working for INCO mines until he retired at the age of 53. Then he got to really enjoy the things he loved to do in life which was hunting and fishing. The signs of a true Newfoundlander. He always loved Nfld and enjoyed whenever he could return for a visit.
In the last 10 years Pat had health issues that would prevent him from doing a lot of the things he loved to do in life. With his passing we are comforted with knowing that Pat is now free from pain and at peace.
Those we love can never be more than a thought away.
For as long as there is a memory, they live in our hearts forever.
Pat was cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date in the summer.
