Patrick Senior Obituary
On June 12, 2024, Patrick Allan Senior sadly passed away. Patrick was born on September 11, 1952, in Drumheller, Ab. Patrick’s fondest memories were living in Newcastle with his Father and Mother Jack and Mildred Senior, along with his two brothers Jack and Donald. As a child you would find dad playing in what he called Sherwood Forest by Newcastle beach or playing in the river. When he wasn’t playing he would be tricking or teasing his brothers.
People who know Patrick would say he would give the shirt off his back, easily get a crowd laughing and would get a twinkle in his eye when speaking about his girls. Even if you did not know dad well, he would welcome you with a warm hello and draw you in with his hearty laugh. Patrick loved to sing, hum and whistle his favorite old-time tunes.
He was an avid fisherman, truck enthusiast and loved working with his hands. The garage was his man cave with every tool you can imagine. Patrick would spend most of his time in the garage tinkering around on some project, visiting with neighbors and friends enjoying a cold one.
Patrick was proud of the 29 years he put in with Correctional Services of Canada.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife Janet of 49 years. His children Patricia (Dan Glen), Joanne (Evan Machacek), and his two granddaughters, the apple of his eye, his pride and joy, Katie and Isla. Along with numerous nieces and nephews whom he cared about very much and always spoke fondly of.
There will not be any formal funeral services for Patrick Senior. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
