Peacefully, surrounded by family, at WLM Hospital at the age of 99.
January 18th, 1925 – August 7th, 2024
Pat was the youngest of 5 daughters born in Hamilton to Charles and Maude Clattenburg.
The beloved wife of Kenneth Philbrick (2003)
The devoted mother of Briane (Leah), Kevin (1966), Kim (Norman), and Terry (Kristi)
Loving grandmother of Brianne (Anthony), Corey, Kevin (Christina), Kendra (Alex), Jenna, and Holly (Aiden)
Great Grandmother of Dante
Pat and Ken married in Grimsby in 1945 and moved to Vineland in 1958, Pat worked as a Bell Telephone Operator and was working the day that World War 2 ended. As you can imagine, the phone lines went crazy due to the ensuing celebrations. She also spent several decades working on local farms, picking, packing and selling fruit.
Mom was well known to family and friends for her love of fashion, yard sales, flea markets, antique collecting, the royal family and holiday decorating.
She and her legendary potato salad will always be remembered, and greatly missed by her family and friends.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at The Orchards in Vineland where Pat lived the past 2 and a half years, as well as to the staff at WLM Hospital for their compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to McNally House or Sick Kids Hospital.
