Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that the family of the late Patricia “Pat” Marie Dunphy (nee. Yetman) announce her passing surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit in her 85th year.
She left this world the way she lived; peacefully, with dignity and grace, and now she has been welcomed into the light of God’s face.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Joanne, Larry (Wendy), and Michele (Kelvin); grandchildren: Ryan (Molly), Dannie (Spencer), Riley, Martin, and Madison; and her siblings: Mike Yetman (Pearl), Geraldine Church (Bill), and Barbara Naess (Tor); her grand and great-grand fur babies: Bella, Randall, Moxie, and Willie; her special friends: Pat Bennett, Uncle Phil and Aunt Madeline Corbett, Sister Kay Rex, Uncle George, and Ricky and Val McLean; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Patricia is predeceased by her husband: Lawrence “Larry” Dunphy (Nov 30, 2017); precious granddaughter: Kelsie; her parents: Mike and Mary Yetman; and special nieces: Carolyn, and Jackie.
At her request, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, with the funeral service taking place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 at the Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mount Bernard Avenue, with Father Terry officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Patricia’s memory to the Make a Wish Foundation.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Lafferty, Dr. Penney and their team for their support. As well as a special heartfelt thank you to the nurses of the Palliative Care Unit for the kindness and compassion shown to us during our dear mother’s time of need.
