Obituary
Newell, Patricia (Patti) Elizabeth of Clark’s Harbour, NS passed away April 6, 2023 at the Shelburne Roseway Hospital, after a brave fight with cancer. Patti was born March 17th, 1952 in Newellton, NS to her parents Addie (Newell) and William Newell. Patti is survived by her children, Peter (Lynn) Newell, Jennifer (Matt) Cardman and Vaughn (Debbie) Nickerson. Patti was also survived by her granddaughter, Kasey Newell and grandsons, Eric and Jake Buchanan, also 3 great-grandchildren and sister, Leora Goodwin. Patti was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law, Paul Goodwin. Patti passed after a long battle with cancer. She showed great stength, determination and will during her battle. Patti was very proud of her granddaughter, Kasey and always said she has three children who were all so different and loved each in their own way. Patti was a very stong-willed women and always had an opinion to be heared. She enjoyed gardening, spending time outside, and playing cards with her special friends, Louann, Kin, Cynthia, Jennifer, Lee, and Shirlene. Patti left no questions unanswered for after her passing. She wanted to make every decision for herself and not burden her family. The family would like to extend their greatest appreciation for all the staff at Roseway Hospital for the care and compassion they provided Patti and her family in her final days. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. There will be no viewing or service. Cremation has taken place per her request. There will be a small gathering with family and close friends at a later date. Donations can be made in Patti’s name to the Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund or the charity of your choice.
