It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our Mom/Nan at the Curtis Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony, on Sunday October 20th at the age of 82.
She will be missed by her Children: Shirley (Barry), Ward (Celia), Ruby (Ed), Jarvis; Grandchildren: Sabrina, Pamela (Cory), Pierrette (Murray), Tamara (Steve), Nathan (Penney), Kendra (Greg), Belle (Nathan); Great grandchildren: Keegan (Theresa), Kylan (Kanisha), Kaine, Kaci Rae, Kai, Reid, Bella and Orion.
She is also survived by her 2 sisters: Nellie Parrill and Emily Patey; Sisters-in-law: Esther Elliott and Naomi Mitchelmore.
Eliza is predeceased by her husband: John; Daughter: Rhonda; Son: Elvis; Her parents: Austin and Evangeline Mitchelmore; Sister: Cora; Brothers: Reginald (Mary), Curtis Mitchelmore; Brother-in-laws: Ethelbert (Kitty), Ivany (Rita), Doug (Virtue), Norman Parrill and Herb Patey; and Sister in law: Frances (John).
The family would like to thank the staff at Ivy Durley Place, Flowers Cove Health Center and Curtis Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion shown to our Mom/Nan over the past few months. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Visitation will take place at St. Andrew’s Church, Lower Cove (times to be announced). The family service will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7pm. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Canon Vernon Short officiating. Interment to follow.
