Passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024 at Margaret’s Place in Dundas. Loving wife of the late Robert (Bob) Page. Predeceased by her sister Barbara. Proud mother of Chris (Nina), Carol, and Sandy Gillies (Grant). Adoring grandmother of Taylor (Greg), Matt (Ryley), Jake (Jade), Adam (Lily) and Quinten. Lou was a lifelong resident of the greater Hamilton area and obtained a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University as a mature student. She was an avid reader and loved learning new things, often making her way through several books a week. She enjoyed travelling and was dedicated to her daily ‘brain training routine’ of crosswords and complex Sudoku puzzles. She was an incredible cook and baker, but loved nothing more than eating Twizzlers red licorice (and not having to share!). Lou was a skilled bridge player and enjoyed her weekly card games with many friends, including Jean, Mary, and Heather. The family extends their sincere thanks to the amazing staff and volunteers at Margaret’s Place for the wonderful care and support they provided throughout her end-of-life journey. At her request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. We love you Grandma Lou!! You will be forever in our hearts. XOXO. In lieu of flowers, please do something nice for someone today in Lou’s memory.
