Normand’s Obituary
SAULNIER, Normand Joseph – Age 83, of Little Brook passed away peacefully at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Friday, January 12, 2024. Born in his childhood home in Little Brook on May 20th 1940, he was a son of the late Émile and Marie Élizabeth (Doucet) Saulnier.
Normand loved playing sports: hockey, golf, bowling and later washers. He enjoyed socializing, always had stories to tell and he knew many people. Also known as “Cookie” from his younger years, he loved cars, owned and operated a service station, a body shop and a mink ranch. He enjoyed having his three grandchildren around the house.
Normand is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Catherine (Comeau) Saulnier, Little Brook; daughter, Francine (Richard) Thimot, Meteghan River; sons, Alain (Marina) and Jean Louis (Yvette), both of Little Brook; grandchildren Marcel, Alexander and Céline. He was predeceased by brother Gerald, who died in his youth.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
