Peacefully, on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the age of ninety-two. Devoted husband of Froma (Takefman), his most favorite person in the whole world, for nearly seventy years; a marriage made in heaven. Loving father and father-in-law of Eric (Aijing), Ian (Nancy). Proud grandfather of Justin (Michali), Shannon (Tyler), and Ethan. Special great-grandfather of Shlomo, Chava, Hadassah; and Hudson. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Lois (Marvin Tafler), Marilyn (the late Abe Waxman); the late Joseph (the late Annette Takefman), the late Nettie (the late Isodore Steinman), the late Herschel (the late Jean Takefman). Norman will be missed by his nieces, nephews, family, and all those who knew him. Special thanks to Jo Anne and Judy for their incomparable compassion and care.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, February 14 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at the Chevra Kadisha B’nai Jacob Congregation Section, Back River Memorial Garden Cemetery, Berri St. Shiva at his home, Wednesday following burial until 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
