Nicholas Glen James Broderick
Passed suddenly in Moosomin, Saskatchewan on Monday February 13th, 2023.
Predeceased by grandfathers Nicholas Broderick & Jim Squires
Nicholas is survived by his parents Tanya and Kevin of Gander brother Riley (Gibby) of Gander.
Grandmother Joan Squires of Gander, uncle Glen (Jeanette) Squires of St. John’s. Grandmother Irene Broderick of Appleton, aunt Bev (Robert) of Glenwood.
Cousins Shaunae (Dan) of Ontario, Sienna Squires of St. John’s. Dakota (Christina) Fancey of St. John’s, Brady of Fort Mac and Sierra of Glenwood and a large number of Uncles and Aunts too many to name them all .
Special friends Josh & Kayla Bromley and uncle to Benjamin of Gander. Darren Philpott of fort Mac and Braden Downer of Gander.
How do we describe Nicholas? All these words come to mind. Work ethic, loud trucks, derby cars, dirt bikes, quads, skidoos, cold beer, cabin trips, hunting & fishing, cutting fire wood , hanging with friends, or just out cruising. Playing his guitar or working on vehicles.
Nick had his hand in many things, the proudest of his achievements would probably be working side by side with his hero, his best friend , his go to person, his Dad. While being so much alike just in looks, they didn’t always agree, but it never interfered with their relationship. Nick had the work ethic of his father. When at work you give your all, or go home out of it.
Both working for G.J. Cahill of St. John’s, Nick for the past 5 years has been working on his apprenticeship in sheet metal, with just 1 block left to complete on his way to his journeyman’s at the mere age of 22.
His Mom Tanya, his fall back person, his maid, his cook his personal shopper and banker. Nick didn’t always say I love you Mom , but only to show up at home with flowers or diamond earrings to let her know she was appreciated and very much loved.
Gibby, his baby brother. He loved Gibby with everything he had. His first tattoo, while not being done professionally was Riley’s birthday.
Nick showed his love and appreciation in the little things he did. Whether it was just hanging with friends and chatting and spending time with them when they needed someone to lean on. Or plowing snow for A (Nan Joan) or getting a load of wood for Nan Irene. (Maybe that was more of hoping she wouldn’t notice the new vehicle he had parked on her property lol)
Nick was a sincere caring individual who cared and was loved by many.
There are not enough words to say about Nick. He has touched so many lives and have left footprints on many hearts across Canada.
He will be immensely missed by everyone who knew him. His name will be spoken we are sure for years to come.
