The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside,
on Monday, April 17, 2023, with his loving family by his side, of
Nelson Arthur Gaudet, beloved husband to Denise Delzena (nee
DesRoches) Gaudet, age 92 years. Born at Palmer Road, on August 28,
1930, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Beatrice M. (nee
Arsenault) Gaudet.
Loving father to Dennis (Angela), Karen (Earl) Gavin, Darlene
(Tom) Campbell, Patsy (Ronnie) Tremblay, Gerard (Wanda) Lorry
(deceased) (Carolyn), Joseph Gaudet (Garth Davey, Barry (Bonnie), Rosa
(Andy) Zandvliet, Cindy Gaudet (Brian Pederson), Claudette (Leonard)
Walsh, Rodney (Tracy) Gaudet, and Rocky (Bonnie). He will be sadly
missed by his 29 grandchildren, and by his 43 great-grandchildren. He
is also survived by siblings, Ben (Edith) Gaudet, and Junior
(Veronica) Gaudet, and by a sister-in-law, Eunice
Gaudet.
He was predeceased by granddaughter, Jessica
Gaudet, and by siblings, Frances (late Edna), Josie (late William)
Arsenault, Edgar, Gerard, Raymond, Eddie, Marie (late Carl Gaudet),
and Alma (late Edmund) Gaudet.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton.
Visiting hours Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Friday
morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass
at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Molina, celebrant. Interment later in the
church cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Tignish
Seniors Coop Home, Long Term Care Unit will be gratefully
appreciated.
