Nancy May Hillier Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Nancy May Hillier, aged 57 years, announce her passing on Monday, September 2nd, 2024 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville after a bout with cancer.
Nancy is leaving to mourn: her husband Todd of 32 years; daughter Amber; parents Ted and Rowena Morey; brother Brad (Brenda); nephew Brady; and a very special friend Eve Burke; as well as uncles, aunts, and other relatives from both the Hillier and Morey families. Also left to mourn are a large circle of colleagues, friends, and very special students.
Nancy dedicated 32 years of her life to the teaching profession and was not thinking about retirement when God decided He had a special plan for her above. She was also a voice for the voiceless animals who needed her and was very involved with animal rescue.
Nancy was known for her generosity, her laughter, kind heart and overall compassion. She will be missed by many for the joy and laughter she brought into their hearts.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 5th from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 PM at Russell’s Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6th at 11:00 AM from Russell’s Funeral Home Chapel.
Nancy has requested that any donations made in her memory go to your local animal rescue or the Canadian Cancer Society.
