With profound sadness and broken hearts we must announce the unexpected passing of Nancy Ellyn Turple (née Ford) with family at her side.
Nancy was born and raised in Dundas, where she proudly planted roots to raise her own family. She was a loving mom, doting gramma, supportive wife, reliable sister, devoted daughter, and loyal friend to so many. Only 66 years young, a quick and sudden illness took her away far too soon. Only retired a short time from her 30 years as an executive assistant at an accounting firm, she had many years of plans, vacations, and babysitting left to do, and so much love left to give.
Nancy is predeceased by her father, Norm, and her many adopted cats. Survived by Dave, her husband of 43 years; children, Greg (Sasha), Lindsey, and Lauren (Cody); grandchildren, Aria, Keaton, and Nora; her mother, Barbara; sisters, Norma (Dennis), and Sharon (Steve); in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends whom she adored. She was lovingly known as a ‘second mom’ to many for providing a consistent safe space to grow, share, learn and laugh.
She will be remembered for her incredible kindness, unyielding compassion, hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm for life. We know most will choose to remember her by her sense of humor and readiness to smile. She had a contagious laugh that you could recognize anywhere. We will be forever grateful for the time we lived and laughed with her in it.
A small and private celebration of life will be held by family. In lieu of flowers or donations, please pay it forward by buying someone a cup of coffee in her honour.
