Parcourez la nécrologie de Nancy Bray Scott January 11 1931- March 3 résidant dans la province Ontario pour le détail des funérailles.
Utterly irreplaceable, our dear mom took her leave, as quietly as she lived.
Survived by her sister Maria, her devoted children Cathy (Brian), Leslie, Cynthia, and Tim (Lisbeth), her entertaining grandchildren Josh (Janya), Stephanie Bray (Reka) and D’Arcy (Kimberly) and her beloved great-granddaughters, Nyah and Maisie.
Choosing to die on her own terms was a bold move, though fitting for the person we all knew her to be – fiercely independent, exasperatingly self-effacing, and loathe to be a burden. She was gracious to her very last moments.
Besides her offspring, her greatest pleasure and source of favourite memories was time spent in Muskoka. As a girl and young adult at Lake Rousseau and Lake Joseph, and later as a mother of four at Butterfly Lake, teaching all of them how to swim!
Her long and successful career at Statistics Canada was a source of quiet pride.
Here, as elsewhere, Nancy made friends easily and often and made lasting impression on caregivers who spent time with her in later years. These long-standing friendships were a testament to her genuine interest in and concern for how others were doing.
Mom was never much for expressing big hearted feelings and wasn’t fond of goodbyes but everyone within her orbit knew, without being told, the depth of her feelings, how often she thought of them and how much she cared.
In the hearts of those who loved her, she will always be there.
A celebration of life will follow later this spring.
Favourite charities were Arthritis Society Canada and Heart and Stroke Foundation.
