Nancy Ann Clarke – 60, Truro, passed away on Friday November
24, 2023, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in
Truro, she was the daughter of the late Lillian May Clarke and the
late Earl Edgar MacKay.
Nancy was very proud of the two children she raised and would
brag about them to anyone who would listen. Nancy had a profound love
for her three grandchildren, Mayce, Jaxen, Ryker; they were her whole
world and she enjoyed spending time with them whenever she could.
Anyone who spent time with Nancy knew she loved watching «her
shows», for example, General Hospital and Days Of Our Lives; most
recently her favorite was Chicago Fire.
She loved old music and dancing around the kitchen to a good
tune. She had a huge heart and would open her doors to chat with
anyone, including her children’s close friends who she would treat
like her own. Nancy will be greatly missed by anyone who has had the
chance to chat with her.
Nancy is survived by her longtime partner of 27 years, John
Chapman; children, Brittany (Morgan) McLeod, Brandon Clarke; siblings,
Miriam, Brenda (Christian), Earl (Franca), Steven, Shirley (Randy);
many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased
by her brothers, Wayne Dujay, Fred Clarke, Gerald (Dougie) MacKay;
sister, Linda Clarke.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Nancy’s
family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2023.
Interment in Folly Village Cemetery, Gelnholme. If so desired,
donations in Nancy’s memory to Addictions – CMHA
