Obituary
Murray, Myron Vaughn – 65, Williamsdale. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Myron Vaughn Murray on March 14th, 2024. Born October 31st, 1958, he was a son of the late Vaughn and Hilda (Mattinson) Murray. He will be sadly missed by his two sons, Andrew (Ashley), Williamsdale; Anthony (Angie), Paradise Hill, SK; grandchildren, Shane, Alyssa, Desi, Dallas, Chance and Everett; many siblings, half, step and chosen siblings, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Myron was a lifelong resident of the Collingwood area, where he raised his two sons with his late wife, Evelyn (Dobson), and also worked for many years with Purdy Resources. He was a hardcore Nascar fan, who never missed a race! He enjoyed spending time with his faithful companion, his black lab, «Ty», collecting Nascar memorabilia and teasing everyone he could. Besides his parents, Myron was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn; his chosen mother, Shirley Legere; brothers, Andy Murray and Shawn Chapman; and twin granddaughters in infancy. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, March 21 in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home & Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Myron’s memory to the Millvale United Cemetery, MS Society or charity of choice.
