Quick, Murray Ivan – Passed away suddenly at Victoria Hospital, London, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the age of 76.
Beloved husband of Margaret Quick for 45 years. Loving father of Angie (Matt) Jansel, and Jennifer (Ryan) Dillon. Cherished grandpa of Nathan Jansel, Nicholas Jansel, Eric Jansel, and Teddy Dillon. Survived by his siblings Don (late Janet), Larry (Jane), Susie Boyd, and Scott (Denise). Predeceased by his brother Wayne Quick (July 2023). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Murray was a content man, happiest when puttering in the garden/yard and working on his Christmas trees. He often reflected on his days at Kelloggs, sharing funny stories of the gang. In their 45 years of marriage, Murray and Margaret took many great trips, but most enjoyed their time in Florida at the beach and biking with friends. His proudest achievements are his girls («chickens») and his beloved grandsons whom he couldn’t get enough. He was a kind, hardworking man, with a huge heart and a keen sense of humor who will be missed dearly.
The family will receive guests at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. S, Ingersoll, on Monday, August 28, between 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday, August 29, between 1 – 1:45, a memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, led by Rev. Ted Winter.
