Frey, Murray Arthur
Passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the age of 65 years. Husband of the late Sharon (Ziegler) Frey (2006). Loving father of Charity (Jason), and Nick (Jocelyn). Caring grandpa of Emery; Ruth and Pascal. Brother of Terry (Liz), Donna (Paul) and Yvonne (Darryl); son-in-law of Wilbert (Ruth) and brother-in-law of Paul (Annette) and Gary (Mel). Also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Murray will be deeply missed by his best friend Perry Gerber, his dog Leila, and by his many friends.
Predeceased by his parents Art and Bertha (Streicher) Frey. Murray has lived and been a part of the Hawkesville Community as well as a member of Hawkesville Mennonite Church, the Greenwood Rod and Gun Club and St. Clements Snowmobile Club. He was always willing to help friends, family, or anyone he knew in need. Murray lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with his friends and family.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Hawkesville Mennonite Church, 15 Martha St., Hawkesville, on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 1 p.m. A reception will follow at the Hawkesville Community Centre, 3521 Broadway St., Hawkesville. We all know that Murray loved to have a drink with anyone he knew. For those who wish, feel free to join us to honour him for a “Happy Friday” drink following the reception. Details to follow.
Donations to Woolwich Community Food Bank or St. Mary’s Cardiac Care Centre would be appreciated, and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
