Murray
Anthony Copage Sr., 73, of Cambridge, passed away August 6, 2024 in
Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, surrounded by family. Born in
Truro to the late John Knockwood and Hilda Copage (Cyril
LaBillois).
He is
survived by his wife, Marjorie (Gehue), Cambridge; children, Murray
Jr. (Holly), Michelle (Jason), Matilda, Michael Sr. (Melanie) and
Jenna, all of Cambridge; numerous brothers and sisters; numerous
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous
Godchildren.
Murray
was very involved with Valley Search and Rescue for 47 years. Elected
band council for 24 years and Native Drug and Alcohol counselor for
numerous years. He was in the 4×4 rally club for numerous years as
well. Murray was a mechanic by trade. He loved going on the side by
side and spending time with his children and
grandchildren.
Murray
was predeceased by his parents, John and Hilda; son, John Mackay;
brothers, Wayne Labillois, Joseph Copage and Ronnie
Paul.
Visitation will be held at
Murray’s residence, 764 Ratchford Road, Cambridge 32,
starting at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9th and
will continue until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August
12 in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Cambridge 32. Father Michael
Walsh officiating. Interment will follow in St. Bernadette Catholic
Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
