Muriel Edwards Obituary
Muriel May Edwards, age 98, of Stratford, formerly of Belleville, passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Born in Belleville, daughter of the late Samuel John and Elizabeth Florence (Robinson) Hibbard. Predeceased by her loving husband Dr. Reginald Edwards (1976) and her son Peter Samuel Edwards (2021).
Muriel moved to Stratford to spend time with her daughter Elizabeth Caroline Edwards, her grandchildren Jennie Wonnacott, Michael Wonnacott (Hamilton) and great-granddaughter Charlotte Raposo. Muriel will be remembered by her sister-in-law Ruth Edwards along with her niece and nephew, Valerie and Eric Edwards.
Muriel was predeceased by her brother-in-law Russell Allan Edwards. Cremation has taken place, and she will be reunited with Reg in Belleville Cemetery.
Muriel was a dedicated volunteer for many years with the Friends of Glanmore National Historic Site in Belleville. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Friends in Belleville. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
