It is with sadness that we announce the
passing of Monica Tara Amos, age 53, of
Riverview, NB. Monica passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023
at the Moncton Hospital after a lengthy battle with
cancer.
Monica was a kind and loving person who
enjoyed helping people in anyway she could. She also enjoyed
trying different multi level marketing ventures. She enjoyed
social media and watching cooking shows and trying new
cuisine’s. She had many close friends that she valued dearly
and appreciated their support and kindness.
She will be dearly missed by her husband
of 14 years, Howard, Riverview. She is also survived by her
parents Nel and Peter Joostema, Amherst, NS; three brothers Michael
(Carrine), Grande Prairie, AB; Curtis, Edmonton, AB; Shawn (Haydee
Buar), Amherst, NS; and nephew Aiden Joostema, Amherst,
NS.
Arrangements are under the care of
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St.,
Sackville, NB (506-364-1300). Honoring Monica’s wishes,
cremation has taken place. There is to be no visitation or
service at this time.
Donations in memory of Monica may be
made to the Sheldon H. Rubin Oncology Clinic or the Canadian Cancer
Society.
