Michal Mildred Redhead passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg MB on Friday, May 17, 2024, with her family by her side.
Our sister Mildred was afflicted with many struggles in her life, including alcohol and drug addiction. She succumbed to life threatening illnesses inflicted by her struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, liver failure and chronic kidney disease, which she suffered from for many years.
She was a strong caring woman with a gentle heart and spirit and got along with many people. She was smart and well educated and advocated for better living conditions and services for the people at the MKO Wellbriety Centre in Thompson MB. She pushed for the people who struggle on daily basis to be treated with dignity and respect from the Service providers, program staff, and all who came to help the people.
