It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Mike Bradley.
Richard Michael (Mike) Bradley died on April 20, 2023 at the age of 95, at Sunrise of Vancouver, where he had lived for the past year and 9 months after moving from his long-time home in Tsawwassen.
Mike was a gracious, charming, charismatic, decent and kind gentleman who could also wield a mischievous sense of humour. He loved his family, his friends and his wonderous flying careers. Mike first flew with the Royal Air Force, then came to Canada and joined the RCAF. After a full career in the military, Mike continued to fly as a M.O.T. civil aviation inspector. He adored flying.
Mike is predeceased by his brothers and sisters and by his wife of 58 years, the amazing Mollie, who he loved beyond all measure. Mike’s dog, Sumi, is relishing his twilight years with Mike’s wonderful niece Sandra and her partner Bob. Mike will be greatly missed and remembered always by his family, including his daughter Amanda Bradley and her partner Jim Sibley, sisters-in-law: Nancy England and Rachel Bradley, nieces and nephews, and by many friends.
Mike very much enjoyed time spent with his family of attachment including Karen Maires, long-time neighbors, long-time friends and work colleagues, and the compassionate folks at Sunrise of Vancouver.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. If you wish to make a Memorial donation, please consider the BC SPCA or your local animal welfare organization.
