Michele Caruso, born in Andretta, Avellino, Italy, peacefully passed away at 82 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, surrounded by his loved ones. Michele brought warmth and joy to everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by his wife Teresa and remembered lovingly by his children Pina (Matteo), Angela (Jimmy), and Tony (Giovanna).
Known as a wonderful father, Michele cherished being a loving Nonno to Joanne, Diane, Nicholas, Mathew, Teresa, and Jannette. His family meant everything to him, and he found great joy in spending time with them, especially during family meals.
Michele was a man of deep faith, finding strength in his beliefs. He was a hard worker and he took pride in that.
In his free time, Michele loved soccer, watching matches with enthusiasm. He also enjoyed playing bocci and cards, tending his garden and fig trees, and riding his lawn tractor.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the DeMarco Funeral Home – Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Road, 905.850.9500). Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, July 23 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 24 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass in memory of Michele will be celebrated on Thursday, July 25th, 2024 at St. Patrick’s Church (11873 The Gore Road, Brampton,Ontario) at 10:00 a.m. Immediately following the Mass, there will be an entombment service at Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke, Ontario).
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Michele to the Trillium Gift of Life Network.
Michele Caruso leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
May he rest in peace.
