Obituary of Michael Richard Mossman
It is with deep sadness, the family of Michael Richard Mossman, husband of Joanne (Geldart) Mossman, announce his passing on Friday, February 2, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born on May 27, 1951, in Toronto, ON, he was a son of the late Donald and Annie (McDow) Mossman. Michael was employed with the Canadian Coast Guard as a Computer Specialist for many years before working with the Department of Fisheries, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed photography, computers, and listening to music. Michael loved spending time with his family and watching them grow. Throughout the years, the family home was always welcoming to many friends and families, and many memories were made.
Besides his wife, Michael is survived by his sons; Scott (Angela) of Grand Bay-Westfield, and Richard of Saint John, brother Allen Mossman of Rothesay, step grandson Jake, his loving dog Oreo, as well as extended family and many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. Michael was predeceased by his parents, his sister Janet Mossman, and brothers; Stewart and Stephen.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 4 – 7 PM. In keeping with Michael’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Interment to take place at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, donations in memory of Michael may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the ALS Society.
