Monday May 27, 2024. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Michael Rankin age 69. He leaves behind loving wife Wendy (née Duncan) of 37 years. Brother-in-law Grant Thomson. Loving Uncle to Amy (Chad), and Trevor (Natalie). Cherished great uncle of Hayden, Rylan, and Avery. Predeceased by his parents Brice and Beverley (née Firth), brother Gary and Barbara. Will be fondly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and Featherstone friends.
Michael was a fighter. He fought a courageous battle against cancer, with tenacity and grace. He never faltered in his commitment to his family, his friends, or to the people that he loved so dearly. The impact that he has made, immeasurable.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
