Michael Walker (April 23, 1955 – July 21, 2024)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael John David Walker on July 21, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family.
Mike was a devoted husband to Deborah Walker for 45 wonderful years. Together, they built a loving family, and he was a proud father to Corrine Bainton (Tim Bainton) and Lindsey Walker. His joy extended to his grandchildren, Julia Woodhouse, Oliver Bainton, Zachary Woodhouse, and Paisley Bainton, who brought immense happiness to his life. Michael was a cherished brother to Teresa Walker, Cecilia Silbernagel (Paul), Patricia Walker (Mike), Stephen Walker (Sheila), and Jim Walker (Janice).
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved parents John and Joyce Walker, whose guidance and love shaped his life profoundly. Special thanks to his brother-in-law, Brian Lunney, and nephew James Smith, who were cherished not only as family but also as dear friends.
As per Mike’s wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mike Walker Team for the Parkinson’s Walk donate.parkinson.ca/site/SPageServer?pagename=SW_2024_home, reflecting his enduring commitment to supporting research for future generations.
His legacy lives on in his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
