The family announces with great sorrow his passing after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Timmins and District Hospital Hospice Unit at the age of 43.
Loving son of Jack and Jan Richards of Timmins. He will be sadly missed by his brother Kevin Richards of Timmins. He is predeceased by his grandparents Lorne and Frances Richards and by his grandmother Dora Hogeboom. Left to mourn are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Michael was an avid wrestling and UFC fan. He loved his Detroit Red Wings and his Boston Celtics.
A special thank you to all the nurses in the hospice unit and to Dr. Schwertfeger for all of their compassion and care.
Respecting his wishes, cremation will take place. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre. Remembrance donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
