YOUNG, Michael Norton (January 7, 1944 – January 18, 2024)
It is with sadness that we the family wish to announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved father, grandfather, and friend, Michael Norton Young, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on January 18, 2024, after a courageous struggle with illness, at the age of 80. Michael was born in Saint-Jean, Quebec, to Vernon and Gertrude (Norton) Young. Predeceased by his much-loved wife of 60 years, Myrna Mae (Lock) Young (January 23, 2023). Michael loved hunting and fishing; he spent many seasons in the Whitney/Algonquin Park area with his family and friends at the hunting cabin. Always a caring father to Darrin (Sheli) Young, of Otterville and their children Davis Young, MacKenzie Cunningham, Brady Cunningham; Jennifer Williams, of Whitby and her children Aidan Williams and Megan Williams. Lovingly remembered by his sister Patricia (Douglas Dalgleish), of Dundas and their children Jeffrey Dalgleish and James Dalgleish. Predeceased by his brother Paul Young.
In keeping with Michael’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. Later inurnment in Churchville Cemetery.
