On Friday, February 9, 2024, in his seventy-ninth year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Esther. Loving father of Jeremy, Robie and Brian; father-in-law of Joanna and Toby. Cherished grandfather of Orli and Natan; Samuel and Julian. Son of the late Israel and the late Sarah (Gold) Hockenstein. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Bernice Hockenstein, Bunny and Daniel Golan, and brother-in-law of Terry Rozencwajg and David Benatar; Closest friend of Paul (Daphne) Nahmiash. Michael will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Heartfelt gratitude to his wonderful caregiver Jesusa and the staff of 5 South at Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Center. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. West on Sunday, February 11. 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Beth Tikvah Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shivas at his son’s residences Cote Saint-Luc Sunday to Friday and New York City Wednesday to Friday.
