SAWYER, Michael – Peacefully, at home , with Connie by his side, Michael passed away on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at 42 years of age. Beloved husband and best friend of Connie (Nee: Sabo). Loving and amazing father of Owen and Ethan. Dearly missed by his parents Dennis and Suzanne, his sister Julie (Scott) Forsythe and brother In law Matt (Lori) Sabo. Cherished uncle of Justin, Tyler, Emily, Sadie and Andrew. Michael will be lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents in law Len and Gail Sabo and buddy Dallas.
Michael was born on April 5, 1982. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially time with his family traveling, camping and Disney trips. He cherished spending time with his loyal companions Teddy and Georgia. Michael was employed with Meridian Credit Union where he formed lifelong friendships with all his co workers, especially Randy. He had a lasting impact on everyone he met for his kindness, sense of humour and big heart. His greatest pride was his family who will continue his legacy.
Following Michael’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Niagara Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation niagararegion@crohnsandcolitis.ca or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
