Michael Cail
1955-2024
Cail – Michael (Mike) Wayne Cail of St. Paul, NB,
passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 surrounded by his
family, after a long fight with diabetes and heart
disease.
Mike was born on January 26,1955 to Robert and Alice (Beck)
Cail, of Pineridge NB. After graduating from Richibucto High School in
1973, he went to MCC and took Furnace Repair and Installation. He then
went on to sales and finally opened his own business «Mikes
Renovations», which he had for over 30 years. Mike had many
different enterprises; he was always busy.
Mike enjoyed talking and telling tall tales. He loved having
a vegetable garden, giving away more than he ever ate. He also loved
old cars, traveling to «show and shine» car shows,
driving them in parades, always tinkering and repairing
them.
Mike’s absolute passion was music. He was 11 years
old when he learned to play. His first song on the guitar was
«Wildwood Flower». At age 15 he got his first
electric guitar and joined his first band that very summer and played
in many local bars. He kept that first guitar. Mike was an
exceptionally gifted player, and for the next 54 years he played in
bars, church halls, legions, clubs, community halls, gravesides,
campfires and kitchen parties– if you could hum it he could play it.
He enjoyed them all.
Mike was predeceased by his parents; his sister Audrey; his
brother Craig and his brother-in-law Jackie.
He is survived by his son Clayton and daughter-i- law
Roxanne; his two daughters Cassandra and Alisha; his grand
sons Andrue and Austin; his sisters Lillian (Russell), Debbie, Sharon,
Joanne; his brothers Stephan (Kim) and Aaron (Linda); his
brother-in-law Don and sister-in-law Rose. He will be sadly missed by
his Aunt Ruby, Aunt Gail, Uncle Malcolm, and his many Nieces, Nephews
and Cousins.
The family would like to thank the Ambulance attendants,
Doctors and Nurses at St Anne Hospital. A very big thank you to all
the staff at Moncton City Hospital 5th floor.
Also, the caring staff at Villa Maria St Louis.
As per Michael’s wishes there will be no funeral
service.
Arrangements are in the professional care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto
(506-523-4252).
