Malone- Michael Bruce-June 27th, 1949 –March 18th, 2024 of Shag Harbour
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Michael (Mike) Bruce Malone on March 18th, 2024 at the age of 74.
He is survived by his wife Judith (Judy) Malone of 55 years of Shag Harbour, and daughters Angie Malone (Edmonton AB),Tiffhanie Malone (Edmonton AB) and Penny(Louie) Malone Detta(Calgary AB) Grandchildren Brittany Umlah , Lauren (Jason) Villeneuve, Payton Detta, great grandchildren Lily Malone, Isabelle Malone, Daxton Carleton-Malone, Bentley Villeneuve and Ryker Villeneuve.
Also survived by younger sisters Debbie Waybret and Mary- Ellen (Courtney) Devine-Ross.
Predeceased by his mother Virginia Belle Malone, Father Radford Sherman Malone, Brothers Jerry, Gary(Bo) and Sisters Janice, Barbara , Shirley.
He was a devoted husband and lifelong companion with many adventures throughout life. He was an amazing father, there was nothing he would not do for his daughters. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren so very much and enjoyed the time he had with them.
For those who were blessed to know Mike you could always depend on him for a laugh, a funny song or a practical joke.
Mike had a heart of gold and would go out of his way for anyone. This was seen in the Westray Explosion when he went into a dangerous mine to retrieve his mining companions of which he was granted the Metal of Bravery of Canada
He is going to be greatly missed by family and friends.
Arrangements are under the care and direction H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington.
