1953-2023
In loving memory of Merv, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30th, 2023, at the age of 69 years. Loving husband of Joanne (Chartrand). Dear father of Jennifer Crowder (Eric), Jeffery Scharf (Lisa) and Jessica Niemi (Luke). He will be sadly missed, always loved, and forever remembered as “Papa” by his grandchildren Bray, Max, Cole, Elliana, Jeremy, Jovie, Judd, Lillian and Jonah. Survived by his three brothers Thomas (Marianne), Ted (Anne) and Raymond (Joy) Scharf. Son of the late Bernard and Evelyn Scharf (Jessup). Merv was born and raised in Lively by his loving parents, who instilled their family values and morals, passion for life and importance of service in the community. Merv was always lending a helping hand to family, friends and neighbours. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren. We are comforted by the fond memories we have of him and by the love he has left inside our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Lively Kinsmen Hall from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
