Entered into rest peacefully with his family by his side at BGH (Palliative Care) August 10, 2023. Melville (Micky) in his 96th year, beloved husband, and friend of Betty Irene (Crowder) of 71 years.
Loving father of Catherine Hess (Bobby), Diane Ekels (John), Brenda Fowler (Dean), Mayda Sauve (Larry) Mathew McGuire (Jane) and Richard McGuire (Michelle).
Special Grandpa to Jonathan, Joshua, Melissa, Ryan, Amanda, Andrew, Jacob and Courtney. Great Grandpa to 13 great grandchildren.
To a man outstanding in his field, was a Director with the Ontario Plowmen’s Association since 1983, was Instrumental in having the Junior Plowmen’s at the International Plowing Match on Saturdays. Micky coached the 4H members, he was also a member of the Grenville Plowmen’s Association, lifetime member of Masonic Lodge 556 and a member of the Spencerville United Church.
A special thanks to the caregiving staff at BGH Palliative Care.
Friends may visit at the Spencerville United Church 16 Centre Street Spencerville, on Monday August 14 from 11 AM until Service time at 1 pm, followed immediately by interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
Donations to Palliative Care Brockville, South Grenville Food Bank and Spencerville United Church in Micky’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
