It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Jacob McKay, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He passed away on October 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of 27 years to Isobel, father to Debbie (Dave) Amy, Micheal, Kevin, Alan (Barbara), George, and Paul (Rachelle).
Loving grandfather to Lucas (Brittney), Joshua, Cheryl, James, Nicole, Austin, Shane (Mandy), Farran (Damion), Shana, Dylan and Tyler. Albert is survived by his sisters June and Evie and his brother Ken (Brenda) and ten great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Albert was employed at Overland Express with a 42-year safety driving record and was an admired employee. He was strong willed and had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all his life experiences and could fix or build anything.
Our family chain is broken now but our memories will live on forever. A special thank you for the love and care of Dr. Sauriol and Dr. Hudson and a heartfelt thanks to the nursing and medical care team of the Meaford Hospital and all those that assisted with his care throughout his final days.
A service will be conducted on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00am with visitation the hour prior at the Meaford United Church.
