It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Maxine Ann Piffl in the early morning on January 6, 2024, at the age of 57 after a hard battle with cancer.
Maxine was born March 17, 1966 in Kingston, Ontario to John and Audrey Piffl (both deceased), along with brother Steven Piffl and siter Karen Hughes. Maxine had an adventurist spirt that took her from Ontario to British Columbia in her teens.
Maxine will be greatly missed by her beloved husband William Bruce Wheatley, her son Anthony & daughter in law Kristi, brothers Wally Piffle (Lynne) & Bobby Piffl (both in Ontario), sister Linda Lane (Dan Devlin) in Richmond, BC, step daughter Heather Wheatley (Jacob Lysons), three lovely grandchildren Devynn, Nicholas & Mackenzie, sister in laws Margaret Reily (Derek) & Mary Nieuwpoort (Arie) in Ontario.
Maxine had a spark in her eye and a kindness in her heart for those who knew her and for those she just met.
Maxine will be cremated, and her ashes will be scattered to the places she loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held in March 2024.
