Maurice Willcott
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maurice Willcott, a beloved family man, on May 22, at the age of 81. Maurice was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather who touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.
He leaves to mourn his cherished wife, Yvonne, and his loving children: Craig (Sheila) of St. Alban’s, NL, Corwin (Connie) of St. Alban’s, NL, Valerie (David) of St. Alban’s, NL, Valda (Darryl) of Paradise, NL and brothers Tom Willcott and Richard Willcott of St. Alban’s, NL. He was a proud grandfather to Michael, Kayla, Jessica, Mark, Nicolas, Haven and Halla who brought immense joy to his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Ambrose and Vera Willcott, and siblings: Clotilda Brazil, Ross Willcott, William Willcott and Madeline Cox..
Maurice was passionate about the outdoors, finding peace and happiness in the woods. His love for nature was a constant throughout his life, providing him with endless moments of tranquility and adventure.
A successful businessman, Maurice was a respected member of the community. His dedication and hard work left a lasting impact on all who knew him. In retirement, he continued to share his wisdom and support with those around him.
Maurice’s legacy of love, strength, and dedication will be carried on by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.
Visitations will be held at Spencer’s Funeral Home at St. Alban’s on Friday, May 24 from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm.
Funeral Service on Saturday, May 25 at 11:00am at St. Ignatius Parish.
