Obituary
Maureen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Grey Bruce Health Services in Southampton on May 20, 2023. Born in Owen Sound on September 11, 1941, Margaret Maureen Elliott (née Pyne) of Sauble Beach was in her 82nd year.
Beloved wife of the late Bill Elliott (April 2018). Loving mother of Wm. Don Elliott (Carole), and Rick Elliott, all of Owen Sound, and Jim Elliott (Deirdre MacKinnon) of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Cherished Grandma of Shannon (Al), Samantha (Chris), Melanie (Josh), Wm. Ryan (Bethany), Stephanie (Tyler), Erin, Jessica (Brian), Paige (Andrew), and Great Grandma of Aidan, Alyssa, Nathaniel, Conner, Madelynn, Aliza, Jordan, Isaac, Roselynn, Kaylynn, Xavier, Gabriel, Fredrick, Tristen, Carson, Wesley, Reid, Connor, Oliver, Rylee and Brinley. Dear sister of Susan Seibert (Peter), and sister-in-law of Deana Hurley, Craig Campbell, Gary Elliott (Elfriede), Pat Armstrong, Dianne Armstrong (Stan), and Mike Elliott. Maureen will also be missed by Beverley Martin, her extended family, nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her father Donald Pyne, mother Alice Hurley (Dennis), parents-in-law Wm. Ronald and Viola Elliott, her sister Libby Campbell, brother Mike Hurley, and by her brother-in-law Dean Armstrong.
A private service for Maureen will be held on May 26, 2023, at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
