Peacefully at her home of Errinrung Nursing Home, Thornbury on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in her 79th year. Beloved husband of almost 60 years to David. Loving mother of Steven(Nicole) of Brampton. She will be missed by many friends.
Maureen was born in Poole, England on April 15, 1945 to Thomas and Marion Hunter. She met and married the love of her life on October 5, 1963 and they came to Canada in 1967 to start their lives together. Maureen was well known for her beautiful singing voice. She was a World Champion with the North Metro Chorus (Sweet Adelaines), the Markdale Community Choir and enjoyed many years with the Grey Bruce Singers.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton on Monday, September 11th from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Reception to follow at the Flesherton Legion. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Errinrung Nursing Home for their care and attention to Maureen. Cremation has taken place.
