Our loving son, brother and friend, Matthew Lafrance, passed away peacefully at Regina General Hospital on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Matthew was a special person; he was very sensitive and had empathy for all people. He truly cared about making lives better to anyone he met. Matthew worked in the family business as an insurance broker for many years starting at a very young age, and loved dealing with his customers. He had many personal relationships and always made sure his customers were all happy and well looked after.
Matthew loved exploring the outdoors, playing soccer, golfing, working in his yard and looking after his fish tank. He liked music, puzzles, watching sports on TV and taking his dog out for walks.
Matthew lived in BC for a few years working in Vancouver, Vancouver Island and Kelowna, enjoying scuba diving, hiking, mushroom picking, and meeting new people.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Carla and Louis Lafrance; brother Luc; and his beloved dog Ruckus; as well as a large circle of family and friends.
We are so thankful for his medical team, Dr. Perron, Dr. Rizvi, EMS and ICU staff for the care Matt received, and for his friends who remained at his bedside till his passing.
To honor Matthew, please consider giving blood to the Red Cross.
Matthew will have a Celebration of Life sometime in the summer for family and friends.
